The five years in Delhi saw the pre-teen, or pre serious teen, birthdays - eight to tweve for Arati, and ten to fourteen
for Rahul. Celebrations were mainly family affairs, with Leela chechi dropping in from JNU while she was there.

We came back from Delhi to Bangalore in 1988. Rahul joined St. Joseph's & Arati
went back to her old school, Baldwins. And they made a new crowd of teenage friends in Indiranagar with whom they shared noisy
bus journeys to & from school, team activities in the Interact & great fun & food at birthday parties.
